Question1:
A) What was the reason for building the platform doors at the MRT stations?
-It is to prevent commuters from falling onto the tracks, intentionally or otherwise. Many people have repeated fall off the platform and Members of Parliament and commuters requested for screen doors.

B) Which other countries already have such doors installed at train stations?
-Other countries such as Taipei and Paris have also installed such door.

Question2:
What is your opinion of commuters on trains who disregard the rules (no eating/drinking, give up seats for the elderly/ the disabled/ pregnant women etc.) on the train?
-I feel that these commuters are very irresponsible and inconsiderate.
-Although government have increased the fines for eating and drinking in trains, commuters continue to bring food and drinks onto the trains. Some commuters who bring and eat snacks onto the train will drop crumbs on the floor or the seats thus, other passengers will not be able to use the available seats. This will cause much inconvenience for other passengers.
-Although the government has made a special seat for the elderly, the disabled and pregnant woman. Even so, other commuters use those seats like it is meant for them and they do not give up those seats for them which is very inconsiderate.
